May be a hot take but I’m more concerned about the defensive personnel than offensive personnel for the Giants.
There’s no depth on the interior DL at all and the CB room is lacking a true alpha dog.
Offense outside of RG they are pretty much set, could use a young receiver.

Calling a WR at 6 a “panic” makes no sense. The Cleveland Browns haven’t taken a WR in the first round in 10 years, and it’s been one of the weakest position groups on the roster. If Carnell fills every gap that unit lacked, that’s not panic— that’s addressing a major need.

IT WAS BASED OFF OF INJURY RISK, NOT ABILITY, BUT HE HAS PROVEN TO BE MORE DURABLE WITHOUT PLAYING BACK TO BACKS
I ALSO KNEW HE WAS IMPACTFUL, BUT NOT QUITE THIS IMPACTFUL. KNICKS HAVE ZERO CHANCE WITHOUT HIM.
PAY HIM AND GO OVER THE SECOND APRON AND GET CREATIVE TO GET UNDER IT IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS.

Here’s my ?. It seems on twitter it’s pretty unanimous that most fans feel the Giants should trade down if they can. And it seems to be the primary reason for that is fans feel there isn’t elite talent at premium positions. Well then my question is why would teams trade up?

Bad argument.
1. Giants have a bonafide superstar as WR1. Would it be great to have two elite WRs? Of course. But their top need is not WR
2. Carnell Tate is not the kind of receiver prospect you take that high even if you did have a WR need imo. He’s a good receiver prospect. I like him a lot. But not worth a Top 5 pick.
