@6dreary6night6 when reading oshi no ko, i had to catch up a lottt. i wasn't involved in fan discussions but i was able to binge like 100 chapters and after every chapter i'd go see peoples discussions on the chapter briefly. i really enjoyed this experience at the time personally!!

Curious whether if you could put 4 clones of someone and make them experience a series while A) its releasing B) its finished C) involved in fan discussions while releasing D) involved in fan discussions when finished What would their experience be? What opinions would differ?

too many days that i plan to dedicate to a game where i end up actually just spamming pokemon showdown random battles whilst listening to music all day and scrolling twitter non stop

I think the episodic nature of a lot of media, esp if it is long term, has a high chance of disappointing fans due to the chance of speculation between each episode raising expectations of what will happen. Fans will compare what they didn't get constantly to what they did get.

@6dreary6night6 nah i knew it wasn't csm i'm messing. and nah i agree with you, even as a huuuge csm fan, it was sometimes rough weekly/biweekly, definitely more of a binge read manga imo. you're definitely right

@disasterxxvi not talking about csm at all, but i think csm will be viewed more favourably by people who binge it all now fully removed by anything going on and feel more positive about it than a large majority of people who were anticipating it? do u think thats wrong?

Not that not engaging in theorising is the way to go. I enjoy it to a degree but I think a lot of people tend to be in a sort of confirmation bias echo chamber that CAN lead to unsurmountable expectations. This also doesn't apply to everyone, obviously. It is good to be invested
