Optical Illusion Chocolate Workshop! Learn to master the art of chocolate tempering and create dazzling chocolate discs that shimmer and shift before your eyes! Thursday 5th December 13:30–14:30 and 16:00–17:00 £15 per person discovering42.co.uk/workshops

We’re trialling extended opening times this winter, every day except Wednesdays. We also have amazing workshops lined up! Many places close during the colder months and it can feel a bit bleak in Cornwall, we want to make sure we have open doors to connect and feel inspired.

Can't quite believe that we have a Travellers' Choice Awards 2024 for the top 10% attractions worldwide! Thanks to everyone that took the time to give us wonderful reviews, it really means a lot to us.

We headed to Reach for the Sky Festival with our Magical Mocktails and Helicopter Workshop. Some took on the challenge to create the biggest or tiniest helicopter and some were brave enough to experiment with new designs, for example using 4 wings rather than 2.

Great to see people enjoying the exhibit we made for SUEZ for the Royal Cornwall Show, lovely to hear they won third place in the best stand competition! We will be around on Saturday, visit us on Stand 81 if you are there!

We now have two lovely refurbished polarised microscopes! Thanks so much to Jens Andersen (Camborne School of Mines) and Adam Feldman (Cornish Institute of Engineers), for organising the kind donation of these beauties so these incredible machines don’t go to waste!!
