That time a THE PRICE IS RIGHT contestant (Alene Glover) blacked out after winning the Showcase, so the show just ran the credits while they tried to revive her lol (1976)

My children are the most pleasant when they are around all of each other and a bunch of neighbor kids in a big mixed age group where they can flex in and out of small, spontaneously forming groups. In other words, the paleo arrangement.

@fendigaid @DukeHerndon Just look at any 1970s high school yearbook photo. There’s definitely something in the water making kids age differently nowadays.

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

How much propaganda had to be forced down our throats to make women believe a mediocre salary and PowerPoints were better than this?

A method called “baby-led weaning” has recently caught on among many parents, Olga Khazan wrote in 2025. Its proponents claim that infants don’t need to be spoon-fed baby food—in fact, they don’t need to be spoon-fed anything. theatln.tc/KRS3EiKV But as Khazan spoke with baby-feeding experts—and tried baby-led weaning with her then-six-month-old son—she learned that the method has less evidence behind it than its supporters claim.

I once listened to a podcast about a book based on the making of a movie about another book, then I went and listened to the book about the movie based on a book, then I watched the movie based on the book, then I listened to the book. I regret most of that.
