I talk about crypto and life | ex - @eigencloud

I spent 10 years learning how to make strangers feel like family
Then I brought that skill to @pudgypenguins and it changed everything
Here's the story:
My family owned properties, hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues across Asia. Growing up, I learned from my dad negotiates in meetings to memorize the names of guests and even details like their dietary restrictions
By the time I was managing things myself, I understood something most people in business miss: the small stuff is the big stuff. A birthday call matters more than a pitch deck. True heartfelt intention matters the most 💙
I carried that everywhere. But I had no idea it would end up being the most valuable skill in crypto
My bestie @pudgyray got me into buying pudgy penguins nft right when Luca Netz bought the project with $2.5M and gave all of us a reason to believe again
It wasn't just about the penguin it was about finding a place that felt like home
And I could see it in action as the people in the community were different. They actually cared about each other
I started as @pudgymalaysia lead, growing the community from 30 to 300 members in a short time. Not long after, I joined the Pudgy team and eventually stepped into the role of Asia Lead and President @penguasia
What followed was the craziest year of my life, managing partnerships with global legacy brands, 100+ meetups across KL, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Korea in cafes to big events, all this on a limited marketing budget
Among all the partnerships, one that meant a lot to me was with BE@RBRICK Japan’s biggest collectible brands
Their first ever collaboration with an NFT project, limited to just 800 pieces, their lowest supply
It took six months of showing up, building trust and proving that we’re not just a project but a real brand with real people behind it 🐧
Three years later, I'm still here building belongingness for ones who rep Pudgy in any way
I'll be sharing what I've learned about bullding across cultures, closing brand partnerships that wasn’t easy for young IP and why I genuinely think Pudgy Penguins becomes one of the most recognizable IPs in the world
I've got a lot to say. This is the start💙

at some point agents will takeover a portion of your purchasing activity. not the big ticket purchases like houses or cars, but routine ones e.g. toilet papers, and sporadic ones e.g. birthday gifts
these are the 5 layers of agentic commerce (stay tuned for @snubeaver's article)
1. discovery: how do agents query the internet to source for products?
2. communication: how do agents interact with the merchants e.g. shopify?
3. identity / trust: what's the KYA process? who's verifying the agent's credentials for purchase?
4. mandate: user-delegated authorization with policy controls for agent to make a purchase
5. payment: stablecoin and agent card networks as rails for purchase

the older i get the more i realize how much of life is just increasing your surface area for luck.
go outside more. travel when you can. try new cafés. wander into museums. take a different route home. hike a new trail. see a city you’ve never seen. bring a notebook. talk to strangers. ask better questions. start something small on the side.
in other words, give yourself more chances for something unexpected to happen.
you can literally just do things.
and strangely enough, the more you do, the more luck seems to find you.

life update: after 2 amazing years with @AvailProject I'm wrapping up this chapter of my life and ready for something new and challenging with a stacked team.
i joined the team few months before Avail DA mainnet, and it has been crazy ride ever since. from launching DA mainnet to wearing multiple hats and supporting several functions inside the company, i worked on as many things as possible to build dev acquisition funnels and growth.
over the course of 6 years in crypto, i have worked as a dev and devrel. some of the work that i did:
- did solidity dev work for multiple projects
- worked on solutions engineering and dev experience
- built some of the most vibrant dev communities
- helped early founders building on Avail with product direction and feedback loop
- wrote a lot of dev content and fairly did well on CT
so naturally, i'd like to work with strong teams where i get to contribute a lot -- from solutions engineering to building an ecosystem. In essence, i want to play the long-term game with the long-term, high signal people.
I have never been more bullish on crypto, and i genuinely believe that 2026 is going to be the year where i accelerate my potential to max levels.

Simply put, the reason I can be bullish on @megaeth lies not only in the attitude of the Mega team members, but also in that of the Mafia team members.
They don't easily brush off a single piece of feedback.
I feel like I could help improve the app through various conversations, and that excites me.
ps. If you're someone who needs product feedback, please contact me.

Today marks the close of my journey at Modhaus. Over the past three and a half years, it has been a chapter filled with growth, challenges, and so much joy. It has truly been an honor to be part of an innovative company striving to make a positive impact on the industry.
I want to sincerely thank every single member of Modhaus from the dedicated employees to the incredible artists. I would not have made it this far without the support, collaboration, and trust of so many amazing individuals. Working alongside such talented and passionate people has been a privilege I will always cherish.
To all the fans, thank you for your constant feedback and support. Whether your words were positive or critical, they pushed me to improve and grow. One of my biggest goals was always to create a better experience for you. If I was able to contribute even a small part to enhancing that experience, then I consider that a success. And if there were moments where I fell short, I sincerely apologize.
Although my time at Modhaus comes to an end today, I am deeply grateful for everyone I met along the way. I’ll continue to be a K-pop fan, appreciating the amazing culture alongside you all.
If our paths cross again, I’ll be sure to greet you with a smile.
Wishing everyone who reads this nothing but the very best.
I’ll be back soon as Jpark 2.0.

Alright, reflecting a bit: I wrote that article quickly yesterday, and I realize some of the language was sloppier than it should have been. I've edited the language now to be much clearer, so I want to clarify some things.
Ultimately that article was meant to be helpful to aspiring managers and distill the learnings I've had over my career, including those I've learned from Bo and Naval. Many people come to me asking for advice about how to build new funds, and I thought it'd be useful to crystallize my advice in long form.
Dragonfly did exist when I joined as the third Managing Partner, the first fund was half raised at that point, which is why I don't call myself a co-founder. But Dragonfly evolved once I took it over. The Dragonfly that we have built is completely different from the Dragonfly of 2018. I'm proud of what I've accomplished along with my team, my partners, and most importantly, our founders, and I'm endlessly thankful for their hard work in getting Dragonfly to $4bn and our Fund IV, and transforming us from a fund-of-funds with some coinvest deals to a fund that's shaping the future of the space.
Sorry for letting my emotions get the better of me. I got defensive when I shouldn't have. I've spent the better part of the last decade building Dragonfly, and I'm immensely proud of what I've accomplished.
I'm excited for what the future holds for Dragonfly and for our industry.
Onward.

Recently caught up with a friend who works as a model told me she’s losing jobs to AI.
Her main job was shooting for small/mid-sized domestic brands. Recently, several of her regular clients completely replaced human models with AI.
Unless you have a wildly unique, un-replicable vibe or an established public brand, companies can now just prompt the exact face and composition they need.
Skipping auditions, casting, and model fees is simply cheaper. Production cost is going to zero.
This isn't just about modeling; it's coming for every industry. Not everyone will be replaced, but the total number of jobs is undeniably shrinking.
Figuring out your un-commoditizable "edge" is no longer optional—it's survival.
