Can't have healthy conversation about a franchise when you have extreme bakths of players who speak for it. Rohit has done enough for MI. Nobody can question that. Especially captaincy in this format/ franchise cricket is important. But also have to agree he is below avg batter during 22, 23 and we didn't win too. His time with MI should have got over by 2023, his retention made sure we can't buy any other opener. That was an issue. But even if we go by legends concept, MI should retain him bla bla. It's fair. But then MI should not have went for Pandya. Should have just given the cap to Sky or Boom. Rohit has given a lot to MI , so does Mi to him , they did back him when his batting was ordinary. At the same time people telling " Rohit didn't do anything from 21 - 23 , then why question Pandya for 24 - 26 " is baseless. You have come to do better than Rohit and he was replaced, now u are worse than him in both C and as a player. So there is no need to compare , Hardik has been outrightly bad. Retaining Rohit and also poaching Hardik both have impacts on Mi getting finished. The latter is worse.
