J’ai partagé la vive émotion des catholiques du monde entier, et tout spécialement de Terre sainte, en apprenant le refoulement du cardinal Pizzaballa, Patriarche latin de Jérusalem, qui s’apprêtait à dire la messe des Rameaux au Saint-Sépulcre en tout petit comité, conformément aux mesures de sécurité prévues. Il est heureux que le gouvernement israélien ait entendu les légitimes protestations à la suite de cette décision. En cette Semaine sainte, rien, pas même le contexte de guerre, ne devrait empêcher la célébration du culte sur les lieux mêmes où s’est déroulée la Passion du Christ. Je souhaite que les autorités israéliennes fassent le nécessaire pour qu’un tel incident ne se reproduise plus, conformément aux engagements légaux et moraux pris par Israël au sujet des Lieux saints.

I participated, via video conference, in the 165th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, dedicated to addressing Iranian violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab states. In my intervention, I reiterated my condemnation of the Iranian violations targeting the security and sovereignty of brotherly Arab countries, emphasizing that these actions exceed all acceptable limits and warrant unequivocal condemnation. I also expressed my appreciation for the Arab positions supporting Lebanon in the face of Israeli attacks, as well as for the ongoing efforts aimed at de-escalation and the promotion of stability. I concluded by reaffirming my gratitude for the steadfast Arab support for the decisions of the Lebanese government to ensure that arms are placed exclusively under state authority, to assert its full sovereignty over all its territory, and to put an end to all unlawful military activities.

De plus, les forces gouvernementales syriennes menacent les chrétiens de Syrie (vidéo 3).
