@FOHzipper Gonna chime in here… I run booth Att at 0 when going straight to amps (Kara setup) Otherwise artist will crank the booth to mad on mixer and signal will be nowhere near where it should be. I also vary my Master att depending on rig/console.

while on the topic, here are three djm settings to get familiar with, that you should double check before every set: Peak Limiter on the master OFF Master attenuation -6dB Booth Attenuation -12dB you may have to add gain on the foh or monitor console but it will be *cleaner*
