I had a long conversation with one of my postbaccs about which graduate schools in what states could now be unsafe for her as a Muslim Black woman and immigrant. I absolutely hate that it will never be a question of best research fit, but rather where will she have rights.

A well deserved recognition of the accomplishments and trajectory of this future professor of neuroimmunology! She’s on the postdoc market now, with 4y funding from this NIH fellowship, so microglia-philic labs in the US looking for the real deal should reach out!

Visualizing Science! I'm holding a series of free, online workshops, thanks to Johns Hopkins University. All are welcome! I plan to have fun with Danielle VanBrabant, Damond Kyllo, and Amey Zhang to introduce visualization topics and challenges. No art experience is necessary.

We hope this helps with clinical trial design for people with Down syndrome. Very much enjoyed this productive collaboration!
