It’s been a few artists who have made full on House songs and projects, and R&B artists have been using Afrobeats influence for a while, but I haven’t heard anything at all where I said “ohh they’re tryna sound like Energy/Cozy/Heated etc”

I’ve said it before, but after playing songs from Renaissance last night, it’s pretty surprising that no other artists even halfway attempted to use that sound template, basically House/Dance, w/ some Afrobeats & Soul. In previous eras, artists were ALWAYS copycats to what worked
