Exactly and forcing LLMs to write unit tests for every feature they implement, and force them not to remove any tests just because they are failing. Those are some of the craftsmanship that vibe coders does not understand. Also the fact they don't understand the code itself is an issue too, in the past some of those models got stuck and then you can come in and fix it is still part of the journey. And ability to understand and push back on the plan LLM come up with is probably the reason why my cheap chinese models can do the job done.

Yeah, I also have pretty good results. Like you, i'm a 20+ years developer, so I do have my own set of standards setup, like patterns and rules I think is important for a codebases. I also balance where my mental capacity goes, if its CRUD, straight to LLM. If its business logic thats value add to the business, i'll put my thinking cap on and make sure things are golden. Know your strengths, offload grunt work. I feel vibers don't know the distinction.

Just cancelled my GLM Coding Max plan. GLM 5.1 is one of the most unreliable models I've ever used. Slow. Hallucinates constantly. Breaks mid task. $80/month for a model that can't complete a refactor. Not worth it. Cancelled.

A Claude Pro user just got rate limited on Opus 4.7 after ONE prompt. One request. Limit hit. 10 hour wait for the next answer. $20/month to send one message every 10 hours. Who else is experiencing this?

Yes it was, it was about 90% intelligence for about 10% compared to top tier models, today that is not the case anymore. If I have to choose today, I would probably go with minimax coding plan or alibaba's coding plan. Minimax coding plan for $20 will give you quota equivalent to claude $200. And the model is on pair with opus 4.5

Ovakve politike se uvijek prodaju kao briga za radnike, a u praksi najviše pogode upravo njih. Istu plaću za manju produktvnost netko mora platiti: ili radnik kroz nižu realnu plaću, ili potrošač kroz više cijene, ili dio radnika kroz otkaze. Plaće rastu kad se stvara više vrijednosti, a ne kad država duradi nešto.
