non-fans and interfans saying “it’s not an issue” or “it’s not that deep” seriously need to stop talking over actual fans. SM being xenophobic isn't exactly a secret. carmen is the only foreign member in her group, and little by little SM keeps treating her differently. they constantly push her into the background and try to dim her presence. it's not something that happened once either it keeps happening. the only reason some of you don't notice is because they do it gradually enough that it doesn't look obvious at first
