I see so many posts and get so many questions about the Texans trading up but remember this. Will Anderson, CJ Stroud, Kamari Lassiter are all getting big extensions to go with a big deal for Stingley and a potential increase for Nico. I didn't even mention Bullock who should get another deal as well. They need their picks to help balance out the salary cap vs. the rising costs for 2nd contracts.

See Dallas, Jacksonville, Miami, LAC, AZ, CLE, and ATL as examples. The organization has the cap space to build around CJ for now, but they won’t if he gets a big contract.
