When I spoke with Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun back in 2022 about their discovery of microRNAs in C. elegans, Ruvkun noted that their findings were cast aside as an oddity in worms. “There was always a view that worms were quirky and weird,” he noted. 🧵
