Congratulations to all the competitors of Team New Brunswick, which captured eight medals during the Skills Canada National Competition recently, including a Gold Medal won by Alice Michaud in Car Painting! This National Competition recognizes the exceptional importance and abilities of skilled trade and technology students and apprentices in Canada.
The other winners are: Zachary Duguay (Silver, Autobody Repair); Miguel Boudreau (Silver, Sheet Metal Work); Calvin Getchell (Silver, Industrial Mechanics); Daniel Hie and Aaron MacLaggan (Bronze, Mobile Robotics); Maxime Cormier (Bronze, CNC Machining); Barret MacLennan (Bronze, Plumbing); and Alex Johnston (Bronze, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning)
Skilled trades professionals are in demand, and anyone interested in pursuing a career in a skilled trade should reach out to one of our 10 apprenticeship offices across the province.

It’s National Public Service Week! Our public service is made up of many hard-working teams who work every single day to improve the lives of New Brunswickers and this week we are highlighting some of them!
Meet the Public Libraries team! Our public libraries team provides services to everyone regardless of age, background, income, or interests. Libraries in New Brunswick offer much more than books! You can borrow musical instruments, sporting equipment, board games or check out passes to your favourite New Brunswick attractions.
We are so proud of the Public Libraries team and the work they do to champion libraries as community centres where New Brunswickers can connect with others, explore new ideas, and pursue their passions! #NPSW

Reminder! On April 1st minimum wage will go up to $12.75, and in October, it will rise to $13.75.
This is the most significant increase in over 40 years and will give New Brunswick the top minimum wage in Atlantic Canada.
