Unpopular opinion: This happens every single year. Every. Single. Year. Everyone knows the rules. They know the potential consequences. They do it anyway. Then they get surprised when this is the outcome. These are the rules. You can bitch about this all you want. But until the rules change this is the risk you run of transferring.
