When Jeffrey Lurie last answered questions publicly about the #Eagles last March, and he spoke (glowingly) about Nick Sirianni, he mentioned his grinding nature and singled out his exhaustive process in hiring assistants. “I called him and he told me he had just interviewed his twelfth candidate for the linebackers coaching job. Twelfth!” But there’s obvious question about the hires made last offseason, specifically on the defensive side. It’s possible most of those assistants are gone if Sirianni is retained. Sirianni and the #Eagles were behind the 8-ball last offseason, though, because they played so deep into the postseason. If Lurie does trust his coach’s hiring methods as much as he said, it could be another factor in Sirianni’s favor.

Might be something for #Eagles to consider. John Harbaugh won SB in 2012 and this is first trip back to AFC title game since then. Took 11 years. Some mediocre seasons in there and some good ones. Baltimore never lost patience and fired him. Something to be said for continuity
