@MikeCagley @MelvinLTate @wischlist I actually see colleges at some point just getting rid of sports programs because they can't afford them. Make them minor leagues for the various pro leagues and call it quits. Have IM or club sports

@itsAntWright This is much like how Illinois used to have a "clearinghouse" for incoming freshmen that made it very difficult to get certain students into the university... and other schools had no issues with it.

@itsAntWright Almost all institutions take away credits and "assess" transferability. I have no issue with actually making them STUDENT athletes for once, I just see litigation being a huge issue at some point here. Just trying to understand this "limitation."

@itsAntWright Why I am wondering if there is a Michigan eligbility issue that is different. Take Vanderbilt for example with Pavia... no way he has all his "credits" in place in his 1309875 year in college (and Vanderbilt is pretty prestigious)

@itsAntWright I absolutely hate that we have 8 year players who are "eligible"; however, almost every major university would have transfer credit issues. With current litigation (stupid as it is), I would find it hard to keep a player from playing if they were "eligible" to be a student.
