We made too many wrong mistakes. The future ain't what it used to be. 六四天安門

The most valuable insight from Ukraine is not about technology, it is about direct feedback from operators in the field. Engineers who do not work directly with operators will always build the wrong systems. The battlefield has made this clear: constant communication with the end user is no longer optional, it defines whether a product survives. Another hard lesson is supply chain. When infrastructure is disrupted, production and delivery must not depend on external systems. Localization, standardization, and adaptability are no longer strategic advantages, they are requirements. What also stands out is how systems are actually used. A drone is never just a drone, it is part of a larger system that includes communication, relays, ground stations, and coordination at the unit level. The shift is clear: simplicity wins. Not theoretical capability, not complexity, but solutions that work reliably under real conditions. At @OndasCapital we work with companies that build on these realities, integrating direct frontline feedback into their systems and continuously adapting to evolving conditions.
