What an incredible and unexpected honor! I cannot believe that I won the 2024 Outstanding Dissertation Award in Higher Education Administration. It made it all the better to be able to share this moment with my committee including @AshCademic , my daughter, and my husband.

Also my newest and favorite regalia hack is the secret fanny pack!

Waking up in Italia 🇮🇹 as a proud @LSU Alum & Professor! 💜💛 I was able to watch the @LSUbaseball game at 1:00am on the @CelebrityCruise ship in the Mediterranean Sea. 2023 at LSU is unmatched - winning 2 national championships, earning tenure, & finishing my @LSUFloresMBA.

I am so excited to share that I passed my proposal defense today and am one step closer to earning my PhD! Thank you my chair/advisor @AshCademic and my committee for your constant support and guidance.

When you have your first date night post baby and it ends with telling @Joe_Gatto that he is wrong when it comes to understanding Disney movies. You’re a lovely man, but your interpretation of Cinderella’s shoes needs serious work.

I am so incredibly excited to announce that I passed my comprehensive exam defense and I am officially a doctoral candidate! Thank you so much for serving on my committee @AshCademic, @SpinDoctorLSU, Dr. Kennedy, and Dr. Xia! Ahhh! So excited!!

Update: baby woke up and wanted all the cuddles! We’ve been in this position for hours, yay end of comps 🥰

Of course the moment I turn in my comps (that I’ve spent all my free time on for the past three weeks) is when my baby decides it’s time to stop fighting her nap. Like come on kid, mom is ready for all the baby cuddles, and now you’re like it’s a good time to sleep. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Nearing the end of writing my comps & I’d like to thank my baby for taking a break from teething to let me sleep enough to write reasonably coherent sentences again. Tomorrow is blocked off for a heavy edit & I look forward to reading the sleep deprived work from last weekend 😂

#WhyApply Day! I applied for @OglethorpeUniv because they offered so many opportunities to grow! From a semester abroad, to an internship with the circus, to leadership through @trisigma, to my wonderful library desk my Ogle education helped shape me into the educator I am today!
