I tend to get over-excited about science but I can't remember having my breath taken away like it was when @PeterHorby and @MartinLandray told the steering committee this result: dexamethasone substantially reduces mortality in severe COVID-19. 1/n

This graph is amazing. It shows that measuring #SARSCoV2 levels in municipal sewage almost perfectly predicts forthcoming #COVID19 cases with a full week's notice (R=0.994). It's one of several discoveries in this new study from @Yale: medrxiv.org/content/10.110…. C-19 is #InThePoop

- inflammation correlates with coagulopathy
-> inflammation & coagulopathy correlate with survival
Looks a bit like DIC & microangiopathy, but DOESN’T reach DIC diagnostic criteria @isth
