@DrDemography Not surprised in the least by the replies/comments, with a lot of bot-like behaviour throughout from the No posts. I'm expecting anti-Farnham posts to be out in force soon, too.

The intergenerational report forecasts Australia will still be exporting 100m+ tonnes of thermal coal per year in 2063. That’s a lot of carbon credits…

Assuming no further increase in wealth, if you taxed Bezos 20% of his wealth per year he’d still be a billionaire in 2048.

The Teals won over some of the wealthiest and safest Liberal seats, but as the cost of living becomes the most pressing issue for voters, their views on social inequality are being tested. @rachelrwithers joins the show. trib.al/B2g07fT

We can fund science as well as sports, as well as the arts, and not sacrifice social programs to do it. The ‘we can’t afford to do everything’ crowd just don’t want to tax the wealthy.
Joelle Gergis@joellegergis

Critically important science programs just lost $25 million of funding and yet the government can find $200 million for sports funding, seemingly overnight. We don’t have our priorities straight in this country. theconversation.com/ive-spent-40-y…

The current government is: - approving new coal and gas; - cutting taxes for high income earners; - adopting market-based solutions to social and environmental issues; - protecting corporate profits and property prices; - giving tax breaks to investors Centre-left my ass
