Striving to be the best possible version of me and a phenomenal chiropractor. I tweet about mainly health and the Houston Astros and other positive things.

If dietary salt caused hypertension, low-salt diets would reliably fix it. They don’t. The data on salt restriction is underwhelming at best. But carbohydrate reduction lowers blood pressure consistently, often within a few weeks, requiring a reduction in BP meds.

@DrSuneelDhand Agreed! Unfortunately, that is the drug that began the thought process of “for every ill there must be a pill”. When the reality is with every pill comes another ill. (Side effects)

If I was to pick my top drug class of all time, which actually makes a difference, neither vaccines nor statins would be anywhere near the top of my list. Number 1 BY FAR would be antibiotics. Until around 100 years ago, people used to die of sepsis from the simplest infection— especially when related to trauma (see what was still happening during World War I). The discovery of penicillin is the biggest gamechanger in human history in my opinion. Life expectancy literally shot up as soon as antibiotics were discovered. For those of you who don’t know the famous story of how Sir Alexander Fleming accidentally discovered penicillin in his small London lab, it’s one of the greatest scientific stories ever.

The reality is anyone focused strictly on the "nutrition & health" should be promoting real food & not supplements Supplements are about monetizing inf. Real food is about health Those in other spaces hawking supplements are less of an issue. They are not focused on health & need to generate revenue so they are not held to a higher standard Supplements are mostly a bullshit business

Paul making a whole food protein bar after noticing the market couldn’t/wouldn’t deliver one, is the most on brand move he could’ve made. Not sure where the hate is coming from, but if you’ve followed Paul from the beginning you know he is only ever searching for the most optimal way for humans to live, and innovating ways to accomplish that in the modern world we’ve found ourselves in.

JUST IN🚨: Hurst PD just dropped the FULL bodycam footage exposing the entitled North Texas driver who turned a simple school zone ticket into a full meltdown arrest! Woman gets pulled over for blasting 40 mph in a 25 mph school zone. Officer calmly hands her the ticket... she straight-up YEETS it out the window like it's trash 😭 Refuses to exit, demands a supervisor, rolls up window → officers pull her out, she hits the ground. Now she's crying excessive force... but the bodycam tells the real story. 🎥: @unlimited_ls

LDL is NOT the disease. Insulin resistance is. But one is easy to medicate and the other requires changing how you eat. So we built a multi-billion dollar system around managing numbers, while the root cause keeps getting worse. This is why people end up on more medications over time, not less. If you want to improve your health, you have to address what’s driving the problem in the first place. And for most people… it starts with food.

I’m a physician, and I would literally do anything to avoid being on a prescription drug. My nightmare is to have to show up at the pharmacy every month and pick up drugs. Absolute last resort only. Will exhaust every other possibility before that happens.

@AmericaPapaBear Or…and this might be controversial…you could just show the officer your license like you are legally required to do, and then you won’t get tazed and yanked out of the car in front of your kid. If you want to fight, do that in the courtroom after you receive the ticket

Most people are about to spend the next few months trying to “get in shape for summer..." 👀 …and completely miss what’s actually holding them back: one workout a day can’t offset a full day of not moving. You can train as hard as you want, but if you’re sitting most of the time, your body is still getting the wrong signal, that’s why your results don’t match your effort. The new episode today goes all in on this… how lack of daily movement is quietly breaking your body down, and exactly what to do to fix it.

Most people start “getting ready for summer” the same way every year. Eat less. Do more cardio. Hope the scale drops. But a few weeks later… they’re frustrated, tired, and not seeing the results they expected. Here’s the truth: The body you actually want has very little to do with the number on the scale. Watch the episode and learn more right here on X👇🏻

One of the most commonly prescribed blood pressure medications is thiazide diuretics like Hydrochlorothiazide. What do diuretics do? Make you pee out sodium and water. So, we identified that too much salt and water retention raises blood pressure. Then instead of asking why the kidneys are retaining sodium, we gave people a pill to flush it out. The cause never got a question. Just a prescription that has known side effects that include depletion of potassium, increase in uric acid and worsening of insulin resistance.
