The Big Ten is a major stakeholder in BTN. And the league’s priorities are to make money, evidenced by actions taken in every corner of college sports.
The league and its network have never had a chance to put the No. 1 team in the nation on prime time TV during the postseason. And that opportunity won’t come again next month.
So they should have just scheduled UCLA for right now, instead of manipulating the schedule — and in the process gaslighting thousands of fans who bought tickets to the Nebraska quarterfinal today.
Worse yet, those fans will have to wait a couple more hours to find out if they need to use those tickets for the 5 PM game tonight at 11 or pack up and come back tomorrow morning.
Nebraska facing Iowa in Houston is like when you travel out of state for a travel ball tournament and wind up playing the rival team from across the street.
@RobinWashut The bigger more athletic team that drives to the hoop more has more free throws than the team that plays fluidly and takes a bunch of shots from 3? No way?
FINAL: No. 3 Michigan 75, No. 5 Nebraska 72
A +19 free-throw attempt advantage helps the Wolverines hold off the undermanned Huskers.
NU's undefeated season ends, but a whole lot left on the table. An unreal effort.
I would like to warn my friends who are Nebraska fans that Saturday's broadcast of Nebraska at Indiana WILL talk about both Nebraska AND Indiana.
Plan your angry tweets accordingly.
@GoBigRedCast I say this with extreme impartiality (and I’m home, not there). I don’t think I’ve seen a road team get screwed this bad in a long time. How they miss a double-dribble and some of the fouls is ridiculous.
