@paulg I loved the theory floating around a few years ago that ChatGPT had been partly trained by outsourced workers in Nigeria and as a result had picked up Nigerian business English, which was more likely to use words like "delve" I don't think it was ever confirmed though

Presumably ChatGPT is trained on corpora of things written by humans, and yet it doesn't sound like any human I know. Is there a population somewhere of people who write in chirpy bulleted lists that I've somehow managed to avoid?
