@thobbsjourno The incentives were completely different. Back then they made money selling albums, now artists sell tickets

in the 1960s, if you took longer than a year to make an album, you were looked at negatively. kind of crazy how it flipped from that to artists taking decades between releases

@chazzedout Because music is a mostly unprofitable business and the backlash against this is minor and isolated. Plus a lot of AI generated stuff goes by completely unnoticed. This will happen more and more

I don’t understand why so many once great artists and bands are so quick to use AI when it’s only gotten backlash for literally every damn musician who has used it. Literally goes against the core ideology of most music lovers yet they expect people to just be fine with it.

I want to love this as they are both wonderful musicians but the spoken word isn't clicking for me. Will probably try again another day

Weird, all-Casio home recordings from the '90s, pulled from an unreleased demo tape. Short tunes so even if the track is spotty, wait 60 seconds and something new will happen. Very my jam
