NMC continues to release new & inconsistent guidelines for FMG students—sometimes a 2-year internship, sometimes compensation for online classes. Even after clearing FMGE, internship seats remain scarce. If studying abroad is an accepted pathway, the rules must be stable!

Ozempic & Mounjaro are being chosen/ promoted over discipline, nutrition, and movement. Yes, they help selected patients—but using them to avoid lifestyle change almost guarantees rebound gain. There is no injection that replaces healthy habits!!

@docrohan Can be modified for present circumstance as follows - 1. Smart work 2. Accountability 3. Consistency My opinion is @docrohan , when competition increases, one needs to adapt to change rather than over manifest their existing qualities

There are many paths to success—in exams & in sports! But the constants are the same: - hard work - honesty to the process - consistency. No shortcuts. No self-deception. Just show up every day. 💪💪

I disagree sir, People have different targets to achieve, To get a rank around 5K Revision videos suffice. Moreover there are 2 ways to get a good rank, Build Up or Concise. Read less at first -> Add knowledge in subsequent revisions using GTs and Q Bank (Good for most)
Rohan Khandelwal@docrohan

Why is there an inclination towards revision videos when 6+ are months left for the exam? Why not build the main subjects properly first? Your brain is like a sponge-fill it with content early. You can always squeeze it later with revisions! Don’t compromise major subjects!

@docrohan Exactly. Time left doesn’t equal learning efficiency. Revision early acts as calibration, not compromise. It exposes gaps before depth turns into misplaced confidence. Foundation + feedback beats volume without direction.

@dr_rmdofficial I’m not saying do main for all subjects. If you are strong in certain subjects / scoring more than 70% regularly - consolidate it using the q bank but for weak subjects / clinical subjects where you lack the concepts, do the main notes/ videos

@Blunt__Scalpel Medicine will keep changing - can we stop the change?? If new information comes, we have to share that. All of us have highlighted that you don’t need to do all of them again. If you have done everything, then just focus on the q bank and you will get the updates

@docrohan Sir, the problem is the entire 19 subjects notes feels so overwhelming. The revision notes itself feels like the main one. I have seen my students use it.

NEET-PG counseling is still ongoing, and the next exam is likely 5–6 months away (May–June). This “waiting phase” is dangerous—not because there’s less time, but because complacency sets in. You actually have enough time to complete your subjects properly, strengthen weak areas, and still leave time for revision—if you stay consistent. Don’t pause. Don’t drift. Make every single day count.

@docrohan Sir does any professor even cares that they are getting top rankers or not? They know that if the reputation of the college upholds they'll get students who get a rank within 5k anyhow. They do not care, they just want to get working hands every year which they know they'll do.

If this data is true, it should worry all of us. The decline in top rankers choosing surgery isn’t about students changing—it’s about the system they’re entering. Surgical residency still carries the image of long hours, hierarchy, limited mentorship, and delayed operative independence. And earlier, surgery was the primary procedural branch—if you wanted to “do something with your hands,” you chose surgery. That’s no longer the case. Today, most medical superspecialties offer procedures too. So procedural satisfaction + financial security is now possible without a decade-long surgical training journey. So students aren’t running away from hard work—they’re choosing environments that feel structured, supported. Instead of criticising their choices, we need to reform surgical training—respect, mentorship, monitored hands-on opportunities, simulation labs, mental-health support, and cultures that build surgeons rather than break them. What do you think? Comment below

If you’re a guy in India, Bangalore is the only place where you actually stand a chance of being asked if you’re single… and getting picked up. I checked in for breakfast alone at a 5-star poolside restaurant on Race Course Road today. Suddenly, I notice this really cute girl looking at me. Not one glance but a continuous surveillance mode. Naturally, I panicked. This doesn’t happen in Delhi unless you owe someone money. After a few minutes, she actually walks up to me and asks, “Are you single?” My brain froze. My heart said yes. My Delhi upbringing said, “Bro, this is a scam.” But I still said, “Yes… yes, I am.” She smiled, leaned forward… …and removed the extra plates from my table. Then she asks, “Sir, what would you like to order?” I opened the menu. ₹1999 for a sandwich. ₹899 for coffee. At this point even the cutlery looked premium enough to have EMIs. I looked at her and said the most honest thing I’ve ever said in a 5-star hotel: “I am a researcher. I don’t have so much money. Can I share some equity?” Two minutes later, three guys in black suits arrived, picked me up (literally), and showed me the way out. So yes, Bangalore is the only city where a girl asked me if I’m single and also the only city where I actually got picked up. Just… not the way I expected. Moral of the story: Equity is worth nothing! Always ask for a salary!
