my favorite aspect of the last atia's legacy playtest:

The next 24 hours and the path ahead. 1. In 10 hours Ronin will go into hibernation for ~ 10 hours as it upgrades into an Ethereum L2. 2. No user/player activity is required for the migration. 3. Once Ronin is back up, inflation will be cut dramatically. Treasury inflows will be up from gas fees, more Ronin marketplace fees, and 90 M RON from the allocation formerly used for staking rewards. 4. Projects that have registered for Proof of Distribution will start earning RON rewards based on the activity they bring to the network. Projects must be registered in order for the system to start crediting it with $RON. Proof of distribution will very publicly show which teams are performing and succeeding. Programmatically, without me or Sky Mavis having to curate and tell you which projects are doing well. 5. I expect all key metrics across the chain to start to improve. You get what you incentivize. Proof of distribution and bRON/bAXS are all systems that are net new to crypto and have never been rolled out at scale like we are doing now. See you on other side mfers.

The insane lore of Korean admiral Yi Sun-shin and the Turtle Ship: - born in Hanseong (Korea) in 1545 - from a young age, Yi developed a passion for military strategy and martial arts - failed his first military exam at 28 after breaking his leg during a horse riding test - passed on his second attempt four years later, beginning his career as a low-ranking officer - spent years in obscurity, repeatedly passed over for promotion despite his brilliance - was even court-martialed and demoted to a common soldier after refusing to follow corrupt orders - in 1591, just one year before Japan's invasion, he was appointed Admiral of the Left Jeolla Naval District - with almost no time, he began building a revolutionary warship: the Geobukseon — the Turtle Ship - covered in iron spikes and armor plating, it was one of the world's first ironclad warships - in 1592, Japan launched a massive invasion of Korea with over 150,000 troops - Yi met the Japanese fleet at the Battle of Okpo — and destroyed 26 enemy ships without losing a single one of his own - went on to win every single naval engagement he commanded - in 1597, political enemies framed him for insubordination — he was tortured and stripped of rank - his replacement led the Korean fleet to catastrophic defeat almost immediately - the king, desperate, reinstated Yi — but gave him only 12 ships - facing 133 Japanese warships at the Battle of Myeongnyang, Yi refused to retreat - he won. 12 ships against 133. not a single Korean vessel lost. - in the final battle of the war in 1598, Yi was struck by a stray bullet - his last words were: "the battle is at its height — do not announce my death." - Korea won the battle. Yi did not live to see it. - he never lost a single battle in his entire military career - commanding 23 victories across 23 engagements - to this day he is considered one of the greatest naval commanders in human history
