Crazy how similar our initial concepts are. I had my short film originally ending with a raider collapsing just before the extra during the hurricane, fading to white or black and then cutting to the normal day time condition to elapse time. Would have been epic but I don’t have the patience or skills that you do 😂

A lot of people ask me about my approach to making short films. Since I’m a cinematographer in real life, I naturally think like one. I usually start with a shot I want to create, and then build the story around it.

I also keep notes where I write down interesting locations and ideas that come to mind. From time to time, I go back to that list to see if something can be used. That’s exactly how the grave scene came to life. I noticed that spot during a quest back in the day.
