Everyone is launching their own CLI native version of cards & payment methods. For Agent to Existing commerce, it makes ton of sense. (Like buying stuffs from amazon) so that you dont have to wait Amazon to implement agentic payments. For Agent to Machine payments, I am not sure. Agents will just check the most cheap & viable and trusted way to handle it and they’ll most probably choose alternative methods like MPP or x402. The main issue is all API and relevant payments methods use existing rails and it is hard to replace. For agent to agent payments (which is not a real market today) I think it is a pretty exiting market and this is where we will see a lot of innovations. I just dont think that Visa CLI wrapper startups are the future. The future is a lot bigger than this.

We need more consumer-obsessed onchain applications. I've been using crypto rails for almost five years, and I can clearly say that 99% of the products are not built for consumers. They don’t have reflexive feedback loops, don’t iterate fast, and don’t innovate at all. I wish I could short their equity, but all of them are private companies. If you're building a consumer-facing app, you have to be obsessed with the feedback your customers give. New companies are not bad. I saw a huge shift in 2025, with talent entering the crypto market to build better products. But old companies still exist, and they are slowly dying. Re: Companies built on crypto rails before 2025
