What a fantastic weekend at Reading . Truth is I was quite ill this weekend and had it not been for the amazing help and support from lovely people like @dogboss_db Danny Emma & JJ . Jasmine M and her amazing team behind the bar , The legend Clive Brown turning up to ref the semis and final. Tbag ( Paul Tett ) doing an amazing job behind the 'techy' scenes and of course Trevor Connors & Alan Harvey giving up their time to commentate , well had it not been for all of you , I'd have not got through it . I have to admit I have recently little disillusioned with things a little. Its sometimes felt like no one really cares , but, violin moment over ! This weekend and today especially, some lovely people came together to make this event happen and I'm proud to have organised it and been part of a superb team . Faith restored somewhat today . Its sometimes easy to forget the good things that happen in our wonderful game and also the contribution, in I know a very small way, Snookerz has made to that. I received a message from Ant Parsons @Antparsons147 in my email, frankly, at a moment when I really needed something nice to see. Ants message read: "Just a quick line for myself to say thank you for the Sponsorship this season with the entry fee for the tournament. Unfortunately the final didn’t go my way, losing 6-2, but played some great snooker along the way to the final" The final Ant refers to was the 2025 English Amateur Championship Final in which Ant played Zach Richardson. On this way to that final he'd beaten great players like Peter Devlin & Craig Steadman. I am delighted for Ant and have congratulated him on his great run at this event and I hope very much to continue our relationship into the future. As for me, I'd like to thank those of you that have been in touch over the last couple of days , I remain completely comitted to Snookerz, the simple idea behind the brand being, everyone, no matter who they are should be able to succeed in the game if they have the talent to do so. Its week 7 at #The900 today and as I have been for the previous 6 weeks, I'll be there, supporting the event, supporting the players and proudly being a co-sponsor of the event along with the lovely Dan & Emma from @dogboss_db I am proud of Ant and the many players Snookerz has helped. I'm grateful to those professional players in the game such as @TheMOD147 & @Ben_Woollaston who have helped give Snookerz exposure beyond the Amateur game. I am proud of what Snookerz stands for and whilst, like everything in life, our wonderful game isnt perfect, I will love it until I take my last breath. We'll release details of how you can watch the event nearer the time. This event is Open to everyone.
