If spurs draw there next game and West Ham lose. Does that mean they are relegated ?

@lekgotla_felix @jackluckhurst16 @paniniboy7 Most local fans can’t do that, you’re right. But all local fans have something in common. They’re from the community that Aston Villa represents. It’s deeper than a 4 hour train ride bc you like a random club. I’m not saying you’re not a fan but there is tiers to it.

@doh2360 @jackluckhurst16 @paniniboy7 The people who go to matches weekly are a very small percentage of the clubs fanbase, die hards. Most local fans can’t do that for a plethora of reasons, family, money and may have had to move for better work and etc

I don’t think it’s ridiculous to say that supporting your local club and going to games frequently gives you a stronger connection to your club? Doesn’t mean international fans aren’t real fans though, two things can coexist

@jackluckhurst16 @paniniboy7 Respectfully pal, is easier to get out of bed and walk to the tv than it is to go to the match every week home and away.

@paniniboy7 Lastly, some people live in different countries and sometimes they have very different time zones from their club, and they still stay up late or wake up early to watch their team play live at inconvenient times. That shows a really strong connection and loyalty to their club imo

Kit Rumours — Based on leaks/info, here's a rough visual of how Aston Villa's 2026/27 kits are supposedly set to look. Which is your favourite and would you be happy with this set of kits?

@alfiecoulson08 @Jdutch010 @adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc From the age of about 5 years old playing with friends, you want to beat your friends on the playground. You want to win things. It’s engrained in the human brain to want to win. So literally every fan in the world is in it for success.

@doh2360 @Jdutch010 @adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc their success HELPS YOU DISCOVER the team. especially for fans abroad who are new to the sport/league obviously a good chunk of people will see the good team as a kid and their child brains will like the team bc of that. doesn’t mean they’re in it for the trophies

@doh2360 @alfiecoulson08 @adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc There is no inherent benefit to a club winning things, it literally doesn't do anything for you, especially if you're from like Indonesia or Korea or wherever the fuck. They will follow a club because it entertains them, and that makes them fall in love. And that's fine.

@Jdutch010 @alfiecoulson08 @adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc You don’t start following Arsenal, city, Liverpool etc ONLY bc of the “art” on the pitch. You start following them bc of that PLUS they win shit. You guys can dress it up however you want it doesn’t change the facts 🤣

@alfiecoulson08 @doh2360 @adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc These people don't get that if you have no prior connection to football, what will charm you is the art that players draw on the football pitch. That's the whole reason some of these players play, to entertain, but losers get mad when fans want to support the entertainers.

@doh2360 @EuropeanBob26 Yes it is. It’s harder to stay connected when you’re abroad because of the time zone difference, lack of fan community, inability to attend matches, etc.

You’re not. You have no connection to the social history of the club. You have nothing to back up your support of a club you decided to follow when they were winning things.
Alex Coleman@DarkOfTheMovie

If you love & support a club it doesn’t matter where you’re from. I’m American but I’ve been religiously watching Chelsea since 2014, learned our history and I’ve gotten to visit the Bridge twice. I’d be damned if someone said I wasn’t a real fan😭

@danidoestwt @CFCMart It’s just the classic American mindset to barge in and make everything about you. You can be a fan all you like. You’ll never be a true supporter. These clubs were founded in small communities and only locals went. Obviously it’s evolved but you’ll never be from those towns.

@dani18424 @DarkOfTheMovie Very simple: football clubs are part of communities. If you’re not from that community you can fully be the same fan as those who are. Also, You’re joking with me if you think what Arsenal UTD, and Chelsea fans have been through any real bad times.

@ThomasTParker @LinehamAlex Got a mate who I remember him wearing WBA kits when he was young. His dad goes down WBA. Somewhere along the way he became a Utd fan, but still hates Villa/wolves/blues, but Utd fans wouldn’t give a toss about those sides? So bizarre from him.

@adamgj03 @georgia_wwfc glory hunting is something where loyalty to a team is not a thing, only loyalty to trophies. success increases exposure, especially to a global audience, and so people choosing to support teams because they enjoy them/a player, isn’t glory hunting. such a pointless conversation

Utter garbage. It’s ignorance and jealousy because they’re always coming for non-local supporters of United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal because of success in the 00s and 10s but do they come for non-local Liverpool ones? Nah because they’re “loyal” and “connected” aren’t they?
