@Psychic_Driving Can I ask what you mean? Im curious about your reasoning for why the thesis of this design doesn't work because it's Cool. Shouldn't that not matter much in relation to what this thing's story purpose is as a rep of fascism? How does the Cool factor ruin/divert from that effect?

I think WitP and 8thMS suffer from the first pangs of otaku Zeon sympathy that would dominate late-Gundam series, but it's at least the anti-officer class WW1 sensibility. That said, the Kämpfer is still a bit too Cool a design for the thesis to really work (like Kerberos).

Thinking about the Kämpfer. It's such an interesting villain design, both in UC and in the franchise. The deep blue colors, giant SPAS, Germanic naming, and CQ urban combat "one strike" design philosophy are clearly a post-Kerberos (novel) fascist pseudo-SWAT direction.
