I hope we IR this dude. Hasn’t been a year yet, he was injured in November, don’t see the point of risking it. Don’t get all the way back until year 2 anyway. Learn the playbook, get stronger, don’t rush anything

The ACL is why Chris Bell slid, but before that he was closing out the best season of his career with a 30% target share and has the athletic profile of AJ Brown. Now he lands in Miami with no locked-in WR1. Tyreek Hill is gone. Jaylen Waddle was traded. The competition is Malik Washington & Jalen Tolbert. If Bell is healthy — and early reports are encouraging — that job is his. Dynasty discount. I'm taking it.

Jon-Eric Sullivan said Kadyn Proctor will probably play LG on Day 1 (while cross-training at OT) but this is like when Miami had Laremy Tunsil playing LG because they still had Branden Albert at LT and Ja'Wuan James at RT. Expect Proctor to move to RT eventually.

@dolphinator13 I can’t say whether they liked Barber. But I think the vision for Proctor is RT, ultimately.

@finsfan47 Because he’s 6’4, 200 lbs, catches everything and blocks like a beast. Barry clearly gets good info and the evidence is there. Just because he has a different play style and traits doesn’t mean they wouldn’t take him

Miami was jumped 2x in this draft. Barry basically confirmed they were going to take Fields. The other one not getting attn was when the Browns jumped us for Austin Barber. With Sully saying Proctor will be a LG, you have to wonder if they wanted their RT of the future as well

@ckparrot @3YardsPerCarry Taaffe just seems to be a guy who doesn’t have the physicality to hold up IMO. While the concept of why they took him makes sense to me, I just feel he just doesn’t have the body to do it

Often is. What I found odd is with the exception of Taaffe, who still isn’t necessarily slow he’s mostly just thin, you don’t often find this type of player in the form of LB guy who also runs solidly in the 4.5’s with great explosive metrics (e.g. Jacob Rodriguez, Trey Moore, Kyle Louis).
And I think Taaffe is even on another level from those three at DX’ing plays and directing the defenders around him pre-snap.
Moore is good with the mental aspect of his position on the line of scrimmage but still struggles if he’s off ball and that will be a process of acclimation as I think he’s a Sam so he’ll spend time doing both.

Look how many times Hafley says the word “smart” describing his new played. Said this on @3YardsPerCarry last night I’ve never seen the Dolphins take this many defenders whose tape is this overtly, almost cartoonishly smart & instinctive.

#Jaguars GM James Gladstone says this year's draft process was more efficient than last year's because the entire staff was on the same page on what they wanted to get out of the draft. He says the staff slotted each pick before the draft and they hit on 10.
