My first domain name purchase of 2026 was a f*ck up.

@KenLin1985 Happy New Year! 2026 will be an even better year! Go for it!😀

🎉 Happy New Year, everyone!
Asia and Oceania are the first regions in the world to welcome 2026, and from where I am, there’s just one hour left before saying goodbye to 2025.
Looking back, 2025 was a truly special year for me.
I achieved my highest annual income ever, and for the first time in nearly 15 years, revenue from domain sales surpassed all of my other income sources combined.
📊 2025 domain sales summary:
• 30 domains sold
• $250,000+ USD in total sales
• ~80% via Afternic, with the remaining ~20% through Sedo and other channels
Some notable deals:
• NNet․com — $80,000
• Satay․com — $50,000
• Kanav․com — $22,000
• _______.com — $100,000 LTO (60-month agreement with a meme coin project; only 2 payments made, ~$4K total, then stopped)
• _______.com — $80,000 LTO (12-month plan, still ongoing)
• Plus 20+ four-figure sales
For comparison, my total domain sales in 2024 were ~$100,000, so 2025 grew by over +250% YoY 🚀
💻 2025 was also a year of experimentation.
I went all-in on vibe coding and actively built and launched:
Gomoku.com, Fanorona.com, Planisphere.com, SoLucky.com, SpeedQuiz.com (and more)
One milestone I’m especially proud of:
🎯 Gomoku.com surpassed 1,000,000 games played before the end of 2025.
In the coming year, I’ll be doubling down even more on Domain-Driven Development.
🌍 On another front, I continued developing geo .com domains into travel websites.
In 2025, this side project reached a new milestone:
✨ Annual travel affiliate revenue exceeded four figures USD for the first time.
While it’s still small compared to my other income streams, I firmly believe that with continued compounding, this will become a stable and sustainable long-tail revenue source.
✈️ To close out the year, my final domain acquisition of 2025 was JordanTravel․com.
I now own ~20 Country+Travel․com domains, about half of which were acquired in 2025.
In 2026, I’ll gradually start bringing these domains online one by one.
Wishing everyone a fantastic 2026 —
📈 strong growth,
💰 great sales,
and many domain wins ahead!

This domain name was sold for $5,000 through @afternic LTO 12 months installment plan. After the buyer made 8 months of payments, they cancelled the transaction. This is what makes LTO sales interesting. 🙃

English

@domainpro Not bad, December wrapped up 2025 with $85,000 sales and a $100,000 LTO transaction.

@datacubecom @afternic @NameBio “There is just no substitute for time when it comes to finding end user buyers.” Well said, totally agreed. Congrats Brad!

I sold the domain GrowWithUs.com for $27,500 via @afternic.
I have owned this domain for over a decade.

I listed around 200 non-premium domain names for sale on @afternic this year, and the sales performance has been excellent. I’d like to thank my account manager, Valerie, for her exceptional communication and assistance, as well as all the brokers who helped with negotiations. I look forward to completing even more sales in 2026!

@KenLin1985 I personal thoughts, industry defining .net holds higher value than pure brandable .net. Congrats!

Even though I’ve been deep in dev mode lately, I’m still actively buying domains. Today I picked up my first .net in over 20 years — Pharmacy․net 💊 I actually started out my career as a pharmacist, and years ago I sold PharmacistOnDemand․com and PharmaMachinery․com — both for around $10K each.
According to NameBio, there were 3 publicly reported 6-figure .net sales in the past 2 years: Super․net, Spring․net, and Profile․net — the first two sold by Braden Pollock. Hopefully mine will join that club one day 😄
Fun fact: Pharmacy․com sold for $2.3M in 2008 to Walgreens, the world’s largest pharmacy chain.
Do you own any .net domains with recorded sales? Would love to hear your stories! 😀

@789dotXYZ @NamePros I use DotDB.com everyday. The No.1 tool that helps me make decisions on my acquisition. Just LOVE it.

Do Registered TLDs Matter When Buying a Domain?
Been using dotdb.com—it shows all registered TLDs. When buying a domain, do you really care how many extensions are taken? If not, what’s your top factor in deciding to buy?

Sold Fancy.com for a good 7 figures earlier this year. Now it’s time to part with TheFancy.com too : )

The world’s first household humanoid robot, Neo! 🤖
It really feels like we’re stepping into the future and it reminds me of the sci-fi movie "Companion" 😄
Do you have any humanoid-related domains?
I have HumanoidFactory․com, ButlerBot․com, Humanoidy․com, and CognitiveHumanoids․com.
Share yours! 🚀

I'm surprised by how close the @GoDaddy search path volume is between the Navigator .ai and .com domain names. I own the .ai version.
Perhaps the .com isn't substantially higher because most people know the .com wouldn't be available to register?
What do you think?

@KevinGeorg91206 @gielow_harold Agreed. Even with a blank check, success in building a complete rare earth supply chain, which requires mastering advanced technology, solving pollution problems, and achieving cost efficiency, which is a multi-year journey.
English

@gielow_harold Ha ha ha ha ha, man, rare earth is not a scarce commodity in the world, mainly because China has this training technology, not the rare earth itself.

Imagine owning a domain name that no one will buy at your price of $10M, but you have an offer of $8M. Now, imagine selling 49% of it to suckers in shares for the first $6M and no control, and then selling the domain to that $8M purchaser, and pocketing half for the other $4M.
Domora@domoracom
For decades, premium domains have been trophy assets for the wealthy few What if the next $10M domain were shared among a community of believers? What if digital real estate were split among 10,000 people instead of being hoarded by one? Accessible domain ownership is here
