OTD in 2024: Denny Hamlin won his 5th race at his home track Richmond Raceway.
Martin Truex Jr. led over half the race and showed his frustration at the end after not getting the win.

I don't know why the solution is always to remove the track. We were begging for years to get more short tracks and road courses then the next gen car completely ruined them and instead of fixing the damn car we just start looking to change the schedule

OTD in 2013: Kyle Busch won at Auto Club Speedway after Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin made contact on the last lap sending Logano into the outside wall and Hamlin into the inside wall.
Hamlin would suffer a L1 compression fracture that would sideline him for 4 races.
