Also… it’s fair to objectively say that he didn’t convey his idea clearly or creatively. He rhymed “heaven-sent” with “heaven-sent”!!!!😭 Why die on this hill? Is this a commentary on Christianity? A commentary on the perceived goodness of the Creator? An appeal to humanize evil people? What are we supposed to do with these bars? What is the conversation he wants people to have? Could he have used his lyrics to make his case more clearly?

No one is saying LaRussell isn’t free to say whatever he wants to say. But that doesn’t mean we have to to ignore it if we think it’s dumb. Framing pushback on a half-baked idea as some mission to censor an independent artist is so far off-base.
