White is averaging 18 field goal attempts and 11 3PA per game this year. He is shooting 31% from the field and 25% from 3. The shots have to start falling. The Sixers defense has been awful this year despite being 4-0. Their 119.9 DRTG is the 6th worst in basketball and D-White dropped 25 on them in the season opener on 20 field goal attempts. White leads the Celtics in possessions as a PnR ball handler this year where Philly has gotten cooked. So far this season they are allowing the 3rd highest PnR frequency, the 3rd most PPP from PnR ball handlers, on the 3rd highest score frequency and the 4th highest EFG%. Similarly, White leads the Celtics and is 5th in the entire NBA in pull-up 3 point attempts per game. So far this season Philly is allowing the 4th highest pull-up 3 point frequency. He's seen solid volume with his new team, taking 16, 20 and 16 FGA through his first 3 games. Overall, between this season and last season he has cleared this line in 13/20 games where he did not get hurt. Really love the matchup for BI here for pull-up shooters against the Spurs with Wemby scaring everyone to come into the paint. Last season before Wemby went down for the year, the Spurs allowed the MOST mid-range FGA per game and the 6th most above the break 3PA per game. Last year, BI attempted 61% of his shot attempts from either the mid-range or above the break 3. We have seen a lot of the same this season from Wemby and San Antonio defensively, allowing the 3rd most mid-range FGA and the 2nd highest pull-up two frequency. We just saw Cam Thomas, who has a similar shot diet as Ingram drop 40 on the Spurs on 25 field goal attempts. Although it has only been 3 games, it is nice to see that the Spurs are only allowing 12.3 fast break points per game. As I mentioned earlier, this Raptors team really likes to run, but in the half-court BI is the main creator and he does not run nearly as much as Scottie and company. If the Spurs limit Toronto in transition BI will cook this Spurs defensive scheme in the half-court. #GamblingX #NBA
