Everyone knows about the differences between traditional and simplified, or Japanese kanji and Chinese hanzi. But it’s not just strokes that differ. Even when they seem identical, typefaces can tip you off to where a character comes from. (1/7) ow.ly/bB3950Lpc5m

@Catlin_Tucker Set up sustainable work practices and expectations for yourself long term. Make these clear to students by sharing what your boundaries are with them, particularly senior students. My students know when I’m available & that I am there for them but the lines aren’t blurred.

Any #teacher tips for finding #balance at this moment? I'd love to share what is working for educators on my podcast The Balance! If you have some routine or strategy for managing the demands of work and life right now, please take a moment to share!

@KirstyCMacaulay Although it’s been really hard, I am so proud of how resilient my students have been. I put a lot of trust in them. They’ve just tried to do their best in a very strange & unique situation - I can’t have asked for more than that.

Teachers - can you share a positive that’s come out of COVID19? I’ll add your insights to write an article that you can share to encourage and remember this unique time. #OthersideC19

A bit of fun... It is GIF Day :) Someone mentions to you how nice it must be to work from home right now. In GIF form, how do you react? Go!

@kirkhamilton @strongsongs Listened to this episode today - 1st time listener. Loved it. I’m a Music teacher in Australia & can see how we could encourage students to really LISTEN using your explanatory method. So fascinating - looking forward to listening to more episodes soon!

Something I will take with me back to the normal classroom is using Microsoft Forms. What a great way to find out how students are going, what they are thinking, and easily collect and collate information. #remoteteaching

@KirstyCMacaulay Learning what really matters in life: family & health. I will never take the physical classroom for granted again - I miss the kids so much. I think it’s renewed my love for the job. I am so very proud of all my students & how they’ve been so resilient, willing to learn & agile.
