If the NFL secretly directed refs to cheat for Chiefs, it could violate laws against fraud, sports bribery & consumer protection. It might also breach contracts with teams, players, sponsors and expose league to civil lawsuits from fans/bettors. I’m gonna say it’s not worth it.

Yup. Here's a deeper dive into the stat i first posted Monday that got picked up by ESPN and others. The data says in the *playoffs* the Chiefs *opponents* are getting flagged. The Chiefs are not. Period. Full stop.

@getnickwright If only they had expanded the sample size by one more game, which just so happened to be the worst playoff loss of Mahomes era, which was also the game they were flagged the most.
Also, why are we going back to pre-Taylor Swift era? She’s “the reason” the NFL cheats for KC?

@millerbrian777 @ericeager_ KC didn't have a healthy Pacheco all year and he missed a game vs Bills. Lost LB Bolton for a prolonged stretch. Lost DT Nnadi. Lost McKinnon. Lost their starting left tackle for a stretch. Lost a few of the prior tweet players at *worst* time pre Super Bowl. Endured anyway.

@millerbrian777 @ericeager_ Buffalo has suffered injuries, including to key players. But all teams do. Bills fans just cry about it more. KC lost All Pro LG Thuney, starting DE Omenihu, had almost every WR on a bad unit injured thru the year, lost Bryan Cook, lost Mike Edwards and Willie Gay vs Bills, etc.

@millerbrian777 @ericeager_ Mahomes would have fared just as well in Buffalo, playing with a defense that was top 5 level three of four years, with an elite WR1, solid supporting cast
and mostly good play calling (Daboll especially.)
I’m unconvinced Josh Allen would have broken through in KC, sorry.

I’ve spent many fun-filled weekends in the Albany area over the years coaching my kids’ AAU teams.
No shade intended towards the capital city and the outstanding job they did hosting the regional.
