NICHE DOMINATION DEMYSTIFIED A niche is an area of specialization. It is usually used in relation to marketing discussions. So we can say any segment of a market that you decide to specialize in, is your niche. For example; If you decide to sell or create content revolving around parenting, then parenting is your niche. If you decide to write about or sell product related to relationship, then you are in the relationship niche. But you can’t say because you study accounting, then accounting is your niche. It is better called a department because it’s not yet business related. Hope that’s clear 😃 Domination means to saturate to take over or to have power and influence over something. Now, Niche Domination according to the above definitions simply means taking control of or having influence over or saturating an area of specialization that is marketing or sales related. So, if your area of specialization is health and fitness and you have the most health and fitness products such that you can control or influence the activities, you have dominated the health and fitness niche. Is that clear 🤗 NICHE DOMINATION ON KDP Since kdp is all about uploading books, whenever we mention niche domination, we are taking about having a lot of books in a particular niche, enough to make you influence or control that niche. So the idea of this thread (niche domination) is to explain how you should take over the influencing of a niche by simply uploading as many books as possible in that niche. The fact that we are saying you should dominate a niche doesn’t mean you should just pump in several irrelevant books in that niche. First, you need to do some basic keyword research to get profitable title. Basically, you can: - check for BSR less than 100,000 (the lesser, the better). - Check that the books on first page have good reviews. - Check that the competition is less than 1,000. This is also called search result. - Check what people are saying about the books in that title. - Check the look inside feature of of the best or top selling books. After you get a good topic that meets the above requirements, you can now start taking about niche domination. Now to dominate a niche, check for the following keywords. This could also mean niching down to other areas or categories of that profitable keyword (more details on niching down in another thread). - for beginners - for seniors - for kids - for teens - for men - for women - plant based - smoothies - juices - vegan - vegetarian - men over 40 - women over 50 - older women - older men - adults - year (eg 2024) - age group (eg 4 - 6) - Fruitarian - time based - Number based - Mood or state of mind (eg depression, anxiety) All these and more are powerful niching down words you can look out for when looking to dominate a profitable keyword on any niche.
