A classic DC tale. DOGE is launched to reduce government spending. Its alums than start a firm to win government contracts.

I tried Coke Zero at lunch instead of Diet Coke. All of the aspartame without any of the refreshment, the glamour, the joie de vivre, the satisfaction of cracking open a cold, glistening can of DC. Insidious beverage.

Congress is not serious. We are voting on a stock trading ban for members of Congress… BUT Republicans added voter-ID in the legislation. Not to get Dems to vote for voter-ID, but to get them to vote against the stock trading ban, so they can use it in the Nov. election.

The House will pass a $12 billion bailout for farmers suffering from high fuel & fertilizer prices caused by the Iran War, expensive equipment & parts caused by tariffs, and lower sales prices for commodities due to trade disputes with China. But the GOP is fighting communism!

NEW: John Solomon acknowledges no votes were changed in the 2020, 2022 or 2024 elections. He also, when asked if the 2020 results showing Biden won the presidential election are accurate, said, “I'm researching.” And says no intell that Venezuela tempered with US voting machines.

House Foreign Affairs Republicans have spent more time on their war on drag than on Trump's actual war with Iran. Priorities.

I have never seen such a perfect opportunity for a queen-of-the-hill rule. Give members the choice between permanent standard time, permanent DST and the status quo.

The net effect of this decision is political parties will have more power over individual candidates. When elections are over, winning candidates will feel more obligated to vote with their parties instead of their constituents. Fewer Thomas Massies and Ro Khannas, more zombies.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn is seemingly determined to avoid interviews. We were invited to a local media event, and were told she'd stick around to talk about her race for governor of Tennessee. Blackburn tried to deter our @NC5_BenHall, who was trying to get real answers, but a slow elevator had other plans for her.
