@KevinVanCott @riccardoperra0 Woo!! Can't wait! > React Compiler compliance (harder than you'd think 🙃) Can only imagine what a pain this has been. Thanks for your work there!

It's been another couple months since I shared progress about TanStack Table V9, but I've been working on it almost everyday with help from @riccardoperra0 this year! Here's what we mostly have done in the alpha: ✅ React Compiler compliance (harder than you'd think 🙃) ✅ State management overhaul with TanStack Store (atoms) ✅ Optionally subscribe to state slices (Less useMemo hacks needed) ✅ Tree shakable features/plugins (reduces bundle sizes by half for an average table) ✅ Large reductions in memory usage by storing row/column/cell functions on prototypes (up to 80% memory reduction on 100k virtualized rows) ✅ New helper utils (similar to TanStack Form) like createTableHook/useAppTable, tableOptions, improved column helpers, etc. ✅ New Table Devtools and better debugging options And honestly, so much more, including a docs & examples overhaul that is still underway. We're still figuring out some details with the reactivity system, especially for non-React adapters, but I think we're getting somewhat close to beta.

On Valentine’s Day 36 years ago, at the request of Carl Sagan, NASA turned Voyager 1's camera back toward home for one last look. From 3.7 billion miles away, it captured this: a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Here is how Carl Sagan beautifully described it: “Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

@ShowtymeZack I would make one adjustment to your list on the talent side... 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. 3. 4. Patrick Mahomes and so on. In terms of the greatest thrower of the football...I think there's Aaron Rodgers and a big gap between the next.

Greatest QBs of all time in my opinion: 1. Tom Brady 2. Peyton Manning 3. Joe Montana 4. Patrick Mahomes 5. Aaron Rodgers 6. Drew Brees 7. Brett Favre 8. Dan Marino 9. John Elway 10. Bart Starr Most talented QBs of all time in my opinion: 1. Aaron Rodgers 2. Patrick Mahomes 3. Dan Marino 4. Josh Allen 5. Lamar Jackson 6. Brett Favre 7. Michael Vick 8. Tom Brady 9. Peyton Manning 10. Fran Tarkenton I describe “Greatness” as their accolades (super bowls, MVPs, records, etc.) I describe “talent” as their abilities (arm talent, accuracy, speed, etc.) basically anything that would defenses I believed would fear the most when those QBs had the ball in their hands.

Cassini took: Many images of Jupiter Separate images where Io is in frame Separate images where Europa is in frame at slightly different times and positions Those images are real. The moment is reconstructed. As for shadows, theylook strange because you’re seeing Jupiter from a fast-moving spacecraft far out of the orbital plane, with time compressed, not because the Sun is in an impossible position Io’s shadow behaves like a fast car close to you; Europa’s like a slower car farther away are both real, just different geometry

@latestinspace @povremeniUser Honest question, what's up with the shadows? These would require the sun to be almost directly to the left of this perspective, and I can't see how that would be possible with the planets' orbits

@povremeniUser Ok jack... 1. I didn't say it was literal footage, it's not 2. It's a timelapse of images 3. It is still a single passing event even if it lasts days
