Livestreaming could be huge on X, but unfortunately, the platform's streaming feature is still lacking. -No superchats/donations -No ability to set moderators -Public "viewer count" displays total views, not actual live viewers -No ability to get livestream notifications from specific accounts I can't think of a single successful streaming platform that lacks these features. Fortunately, these should be easy fixes – it all depends on whether X wants its streaming feature to be something more than a backup for people with audiences on other platforms. Also, it doesn't seem like the algorithm rewards streams the same way it does spaces. Maybe the latter are just more accessible to people, but the number of people who will tune into a Twitter space, at least for me, is usually 10x the number who will show up for a livestream.

The left wants to promote Fuentes because they understand that he is a self-interested wrecking ball of destruction for the right. The inverse of Charlie Kirk, if you will. The only issue is that he already went on every podcast imaginable and his viewership still went down. For all this talk about Fuentes and his appeal to "young right-wingers", his favorable rating according to the NYT is lowest (-18) among Republicans 18-44. You know, the demographic that he has the highest name rec with (which still was below 50%). Not to mention, he can only exist in such a bubble because those who actually have followed his career arc for more than 18 months know how repulsive he is, not in terms of his political views (which he has no coherent ideology other than what he feels in a particular moment), but all of his personal dirt, which includes being an actual pedophile protector. Loud online support from a bunch of brown people or claimed cases of anecdotal evidence don't particularly change that.
