25 albums that I heard as a teen that drastically changed how I viewed what music could be structurally. Funny how time changes things. Nowadays I sometimes forget that other people have zero idea how to approach these sounds. It's all easy if not old hat for me by now. :P

@alonna_lee I don't think it's a terrible question if you consider it in relation to the philosophical discussions about how we are at the end of new genres being invented, how we look to the past for answers to the present/future, how are we are creating pastiche in place of new things.

Then when you get new skills, not being able to just reject new skills after each new section of the map is obnoxious. Things that could've been handled easily at this point in game design aren't handled or explained well at all. This is why so many people NOPED the fuck out.

I've put like 15 hours into this, and I just NOW realized when you land on Vines in a cave, or a chest that you have go into the Skills menu with the D pad, use Action, and move to the Vines, and then gather them this way. You can't just land on them, press X, and gather. Whack.

I'm pretty sure that I've had the skill to open the chests, I just figured that once I cross the chests I'd be able to just you know... open them, but there is all this odd menu traversing, and it's so easy to hit the joystick instead of the D pad.

That means that if you accidentally press X or the joystick as you'd be naturally inclined to do by habit, that you miss the item, and cannot exit the caves or anything, unless you use the D pad/Skill/Action. It could've been much simpler for so simple an action, but it isn't.

@mirandareinert Hard to take it too seriously. It fits Colorado's style of play better if it continues, but game 1 with Dallas was open ended too (Dallas just didn't score), then the series locked down. Probably won't see Wallstedt next game, and that's about all I can say about that.

I said it as an example of a game with keyboard (I didn't have Xbox) I never played much of because my shoulder goes numb, and I get carpal like mad. That's the issue with trying to play the Wizardry games or Arx Fatalis for me.

@doolanzer @Mr_Fahrenheit78 @Shinky_Plays I mean og ones like wiz you do have to map your environments and deal with traps, morrowind isn't a dungeon crawler thats a open world wrpg, again a dungeon crawler is something like etrian odessy, wizardry, vagrant story etc. In those games dungeon traversal is the gameplay

@GamewithDave This is the popular opinion. Also, you can use an adblocker if you HDMI from PC to TV. The problem isn't streaming, it's the models by which streaming operates. Focusing around the film companies/brands, not having more comprehensive databases.

U Saga has other design issues than the map itself. I can't play keyboard games much because of carpal tunnel/shoulder, which is why I haven't played Morrowind either.

@simplejamsYT @GamewithDave That's what, like 0.2% of the year? The power likely goes out more frequently than that. Plenty of those movies cycle back to the streaming service. It's not the en masse population's answer to streaming. More comprehensive, sensible streaming is the answer to streaming.

Physical media isn’t dying, it’s stabilising. After 20%+ drops in 2023–2024, the decline slowed to 9% in 2025 ($870M US). 4K Blu-ray is actually growing (+12%), driven by collectors and Gen Z. This isn’t a collapse, it’s a shift toward premium, niche releases.

I'm not against people having physical media, especially those trying to maintain older media as long as possible. I'm against MOST people having physical media, because most people are the fuckers who nasty up the library materials, and keep shit in boxes in the basement.

The answer to streaming isn't to buy 10 Blu-rays for $150-200. The answer is more comprehensive streaming. Cost effective compendiums of every genre all on their specific sites with 1,000s of options, instead of brand/studio ownership w/ the Tubis acting as a casual eclectic mix.
