New Community Path Extension exit to Brickbottom coming soon, in between East Somerville and Lechmere. Thank you to the City of Somerville for making it happen. There’s more new exits in the works now, too!

@wrongmiles Names are fun and the MTA should extend the letter trains to have canonical full names. Where this went wrong is using 4 letters to name 6 trains 🙃

@andrewjohnmoyo One of my biggest typographical pet peeves is software constantly trying to use “smart quotes” in places where they don’t belong (hardware sizes)

@sainzcaccia @CambMA Cambridge has at least a half dozen different types of bike paths now, some of which change every few blocks. On one hand, nice to try them all and compare. On the other, doesn’t feel like a cohesive vision for a network 🤷

Who in @CambMA thought that a shared path for a few block was the best solution on Gore St? Feels unnecessary for this narrow street.

@somershade1 Got booted off the green line early in a surprise “this train is out of service. Take shuttle busses” announcement. We follow verbal directions get back on at Copley only to be told there that trains are also not running. 2 busses later and an extra block of walking…

I rode the red, green, and orange lines today (I haven’t taken the T in a while) and, sad to say, all the rumors are true. The few trains that do run creep along at a wretched pace over rotting bridges and through hastily patched tunnels. Real failed-state vibes. It’s a bummer.

@SomervilleInfr1 can we get some concrete barriers or maybe a few steel bollards in the buffer in front @MBofBoston ? The bike lane is consistently blocked and it’s an important connection to the East Somerville T/CPX

@BSBI_Ireland @fungi_fanatic @SimonOntheverge At least in North America we usually refer to Monotropa uniflora (white w 1 flower) as “ghost pipe” but I like seeing M. hypopitys too and will add “yellow birds nest” to its long list of fun common names

Take a look. This is the @BosCityCouncil’s idea of Public Safety at construction sites. Replacing hardworking police officers with civilians who sit in chairs. This should NEVER happen. And, if you care about a safer Boston, lawn chair law enforcement is NOT THE ANSWER.
