As I mentioned yday, I estimate Chelsea to have a €200m profit hole to plug once the Lacroix buy goes through at reported numbers, or breach its Uefa target.
If Chelsea can sell all players below at the “price tags” listed, the 26/27 impact on profit would be >€300m.

Cunha-Rash for LW, Sesko-Welbeck/Mateta for ST, Mbeumo - Amad for RW, with Dorgu rotating in. Keep in mind, Sesko had a knee injury, and still out with that shin for more than 2months

@TheDevilsDNA I would also add an experienced backup ST who would "broke their nose" for a goal at the back post, a'la Chicharito. Welbeck comes to my mind straight away, would've also liked Jimenez, but he is off to Wolves now. Someone who can score 8-10 goals per year. Zirkzee back to Italy.

Our midfield is currently vacant and I personally see issues at CB, LB, LW as well. We only solve half the issues this year. Just balancing PL+UCL after a while & working with a new look team to control games is a good deal. If transfers keep solving gaps, 27/28 is the big year.

Top 4 again with improved gameplay & underlying metrics & go fairly deep (QF UCL, semis others) in cups. IMO we overperformed with him, esp with 1 game a week. Getting similar results in full season with better control is good enough. 27/28 should be the title aiming one.

Adam Wharton - Channel Defending
-We have discussed a lot about Wharton's on ball upside but I think people tend to ignore his off-ball positioning and intelligence.
-For starters, he is among the top 15 best channel defenders among midfielders in the PL. This among players like Anderson, Garner, Tonali etc.
-60% tackling accuracy inside the pockets puts him among the best in that facet.
-Really good at recovering balls in these areas as well.
-The only real downside is his aerial ability.

@mikekadlick Arkin and Rizy actual good players. Arkin is an amazing blocker, Rizy has 9.88 RAS and played LG, C, RG, RT at Florida state, and has 86.2 pass block grade from PFF in 2025. With Ben Brown the only capable iOL depth, I think Rizy has a great shot making the roster

@TheDevilsDNA Danny Welbeck on free would be my first singing. He is a great culture guy, compliments Sesko, and his timeline probably fits for Chido Obi's developement.
I think United needs a 2# CF who has no issues with sitting on the bench, but can score 8-12 goals per season.

2 DMs & 1 LB was my take for the summer as well. Exp CF I'm not sure of the value. Would rather sneak in a CB if a market opportunity is available. My biggest hope is we get the profiles of the top 3 right - Proper DM traits first for midfielders & a wide overlapping LB profile.

🔺Can the World Cup managers even be obtained? It is tabu as a national team manager to agree to something before leaving the nat team. You get real conflict of interest issues. This means that we would be bringing in a manager just weeks before the season starts.

I don't know if the Patriots would view Treyton Welch as a scheme fit, but he had an impressive summer for the Saints. The Patriots could be looking at additional tight end depth.

Can confirm the Saints have waived TE Treyton Welch. Biggest surprise of the week to me so far. If he's not claimed, have to imagine he could still have a path to playing time early in the season through the practice squad unless the Saints plan to add from elsewhere at TE.
