I have been questioning a lil bit around this privacy meta that went wild few months ago at least. I supported and still do support a few projects that have been building.
However, my Question has been:
"what is the point of crypto if everything is not transparent??"
was privacy introduced to be an option for crypto or are we trying to generalise it to become crypto2.0 itself.
Okay first off, I know a lot of users don't want:
1. Their transactions to be easily tracked or made public
2. Their trades or potential net-worth to be made public
3. Their transfers or business funds to be made public
But is crypto not crypto because all of these are publicly visible on the blockchain?
The moment this freedom of pblicity is taken from the space, then u begin to see even more political scenarios around crypto, illegal events and also worse outcomes for crypto.
I always believe everything is a Construct and we only look at the shallow part because that is what they want us to see. The team and Founders of Zcash ( $ZEC ) built a construct and a narrative around privacy. They clouded our minds and beliefs with the benefit of "Privacy in crypto" making us see less of what crypto is supposed to be.
But in honest truth, they could be the ones benefiting from the narrative as it helps them to control funds and make certain decisions within blockchain.
You see?
Right from time, there are certain cabals who build constructs and create a narrative for the world to suit their own benefits making us believe it's for our own benefits.
