Today was my Dads @RichardDimler1 76th birthday so we got him a 1957 John Deere 720 Diesel, just like the one he learned to drive when he was 10 years old. It’s been a dream of his to have one of these again. I think he felt 10 again driving it. Happy Birthday Dad, we love you!

@lmasse729 I just leave it set up. The launch monitor is easy to move but the hitting enclosure would be a pain to set up and take down often.

@DoubleBarDFarms Mark is this a break down system or does it get left up in an area for extended periods?

Watching the Masters and playing some shop golf is a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon before the busy seeding season fires up. 🏌️🏌️‍♀️⛳️

@BDuchek @ISchmidtFaced I’ve heard they can be hard on the bins and cause bolts to come loose. Not sure how accurate that is. Our dry bins get the dirtiest as usually dump fairly warm from the dryer. So far fire hose and water trailer before harvest to clean them out works best.

Just wondering if anybody in #AgTwitter land knows anything about vibrators? Wondering if they would work in our wet bins to knock the grain down that is stuck to the sidewalls and around the top ring on the hopper. Does anybody have something like that setup?

@MoneoDallas Yes we’ve used farm king 16x104 since about 2008 on 4812 bins. But the 125’ augers are better as not as steep an angle

Daylight Saving Time is hilarious when you think about it. Humans: “Let’s move the clocks forward so we get more daylight.” The sun: literally ignores us and rises at the same time it always would. All we actually accomplish is losing an hour of sleep and confusing everyone for a week. How this is still a thing in 2026 is beyond me.

@BDuchek @jake_knelsen6 Think the highest hours we’ve had on an RX was around 2500 when traded off.

@DoubleBarDFarms @jake_knelsen6 Neighbours have one RX that is getting close to 5000hrs. They haven't changed a seal or bearing yet either. Changed their hub oil around 2500 hours.

How often are you guys changing oil in your rollers on the RX's and twin tracks. Book says lubed for life but....Done our 2018 with 3000hrs and the oil looked burnt already. Couple had a little moisture in them. #AgTwitter

@BDuchek @jake_knelsen6 We ran case quads for a few years and a lot of trouble with idler wheel seals and bearings even when oils were changed every year. Been running RX Deeres since 2016 and haven’t had one wheel seal go and have never changed the hub oils.

@jake_knelsen6 Have never heard of bearings or seals going out on the RX's or twin tracks and there is lots of them around. However it seems to be very common on the red quads around here.

@Dusty3080467325 Few years ago a neighbour sold a 914 IH combine. Two guys showed up in a 1070 tractor and they drove that unit from Grenfell, SK area into southern Ontario Canada. They took shifts while one slept in the hopper. Neighbour gave them a sheet of plywood to lay in the hopper. 😂

We drove this rig from Indianola Iowa to Gruver Tx in 2021 That’s a 65 ft cultivator Deere wanted 10 k to tear it down Then someone woulda had to reassemble I opted for plan B Bought this Panther 1000 filled it with fuel and sent it Btw sold the Steeger for 10 k more
