The CHS fertilizer plant cancelation was an enormous lost opportunity for domestic nitrogen supply and price stability.

@AustinSundeen I only say it as we put a 9370R on a 16 row for season once on strip till and it didn’t turn out so good . Next year bought a bigger 8R . Just what we experienced . The lowest pressure you get the tires will help you from what we saw but you could see tracks all year.

As painful as last night was, it was probably a good lesson in making smart plays. It felt like UMD baited us into risky plays, we took the bait, puck ends up in our net. And they’re about as opportunistic as they come. Onward to the NCAAs, we can still make a run with this group

Am I the only one in the camp that thinks corn acres are gonna be massive again? It would not shock me to see 98 million? It may be a slow hand that deals but in the END I think we are gonna be close to that number.

@ISchmidtFaced There is no difference, just can’t use it in this bill. This is by design. Most likely if the bill would let people use a drivers license it would pass.

This is the problem with the Save Act. The problem that is stated to be fixing is illegal voting. The problem it is actually fixing is too many voters in specific statistical categories.

This exchange just happened on the Senate floor. Cornyn: “I don’t understand how the SAVE Act disenfranchises voters.” Durbin: “Happy to explain. Driver’s licenses don’t qualify under the bill. 50% of Americans don’t have passports.” Cornyn: “Why not just amend it?” Durbin: “When’s the last time the Senate actually amended a bill?” Silence. The SAVE Act requires passport-level documentation to register to vote. 50% of Americans don’t have a passport. The people least likely to have passports: the elderly, the poor, rural Americans, young first-time voters. The people most likely to have passports: wealthy Americans. This is not voter protection. This is voter selection. And when a senator suggested fixing it — his own colleague couldn’t name the last time the Senate amended anything. That’s the Senate in 2026.

@ISchmidtFaced Drivers license does not qualify. If this goes through there will be legal voters very surprised they can’t vote when they show up at the polls.

@pudamobile @gregzimpleman Our farm, Corn up slightly, soys up 40%, wheat down 50%, pintos down 20%, flowers up 40%. Have some neighbors that aren’t growing edibles for the first time since the 70’s. Edible processors are begging for contracts I’m hearing.

@ZP871 @gregzimpleman According to my agronomist and the area’s sales agronomist. Corn acres will be up, soy acres will be up, wheat acres will be down vs last year in our area. We’ve had 4 good years of corn yields and you almost always lose money on wheat. Not worth the risk.

@GoddessofGrain Old crops almost all sold. New crop I’ve been a little more aggressive than previous years but last year only getting 1 sale at $4.70 and non on beans or wheat scared me to be a lil more aggressive and have less risk on the table.
